On July 12, 2025, it was that time again—the annual summer festival took place in beautiful weather at the Walks’ place in Herrsching. Before the fun part began, the active members sat down for the 77th association meeting in the shade with coffee and cake.
Barbara Krohne reported on the latest developments in Kenya, also regarding the changed school system and the impact on the kids from the MCC—especially for those moving out of the MCC at the end of the school year after completing Junior Secondary Education in 9th grade. Other topics included finances and future MCC occupancy, as well as the introduction of Paulina, who wants to go to Kenya as a volunteer starting in October.
After that, the social part kicked off, and Helen introduced the youngest member, Calli, who everyone immediately took to their hearts. As the only child there, he really brought the party to life! Stefan fired up the grill, where all the treats sizzled away. During the meal that followed, there was plenty of opportunity to catch up and chat to our hearts’ content.
Later, a fire was lit to keep the chill away, and the last ones standing stayed until late at night…
