News from the Secondary – Academy of Maisha Mazuri

Our secondary school, the Academy of Maisha Mazuri (AMM), recently hosted a special “Open House” event, which was held in the form of a tournament. In addition to the diverse sports offerings, we were able to impress our guests with the unique opportunities our school provides. The students were thrilled with our facilities, from the computer lab to the bakery. The secondary school’s profile is becoming more distinct and gaining attractiveness in the surrounding communities.

Eight external Junior Schools participated in the tournament. Competitions were held in basketball, handball, and volleyball. Chess was also played.

The event was a great success, and we hope to have sparked the interest of many students, encouraging them to transfer to our school for Grade 10.

Additionally, the bakery was able to generate a decent profit on this day. Overall, the school’s bakery project is developing favorably. The students in the home economics course are working diligently and actively with the support of the new teacher, Madam Lydia, and the baker. The products can soon be sold again to the local village population.

Now, after their current exams, our students are looking forward to three weeks of vacation before Term 3 of this school year continues in the fall.
