Dear members, dear friends of Hand in Hand für Kenia,
This year, the legendary Wasserburg Inn River Boat Race with nutshells (these are environmentally friendly palm leaf shells from the betel nut palm that dissolve naturally in water) will take place again on 10/03/2024 starting at 11 AM. This time, our association will even have its own little stand including a bazaar. Some former volunteers will also be there, happy to share first-hand reports from Kenya. Additionally, the Rotary Club Wasserburg am Inn is organizing a great supporting program with music, food, and drinks.
Our association will receive a portion of the donations, and the proceeds will also go to the youth work of the Wasserburg Water Rescue Service and the Wasserburg town band.
There are great prizes to be won again, including an e-bike, an Apple iPad, and an Apple iPhone 14!
Do you want to buy one or more boats, send them to the start, and maybe win one of the great prizes?
We’ll make it easy for you!
Just transfer the money to our association account by Sunday, 09/22/2024, at the latest, with the following reference:
Boat Race: Number x and Name (5.00 Euro per boat)
Hand in Hand für Kenia e.V., IBAN: DE48 7116 0000 0008 8614 98, BIC: GENODEF1VRR, Bank: Raiffeisenbank Rosenheim-Chiemsee
We will buy the boats for you, assign your names to each boat number, and enter them at the start on race day.
If your boat wins a prize, we will of course inform you. Our Vroni Berndl will thankfully take over the race management on behalf of Hand in Hand für Kenia and will be there live on site.
(Issuing a donation receipt is not possible in this case, as we are only acting as “intermediaries” and passing on the entry fee 1:1.)
If you don’t win a prize, don’t be sad, because your donation has supported three associations in their work at once.
You can also find all the info about the event on the attached flyer.
Thank you so much for your support.
Your Hand in Hand für Kenia Team
