We have already experienced the small river at the foot of our Shamba as a raging torrent, as an idyllic waterscape, and above all as a dry riverbed. Last year, Maisha Mazuri built a dam together with its farm neighbors, which also serves as a bridge. During the rainy season, the water initially flows over it and spreads out lushly beyond the dam, but then for the rest of the year, it preserves the water like in pools and enables farming for Maisha Mazuri and all neighboring farms…. until the next big rainy season, which everyone is currently longing for.
