With the increasing scarcity of resources, an eco-friendly and thoughtful approach to water, energy, and waste can make all the difference. At the <strong>Maisha Mazuri Children Centre<\/strong> and the <strong>Maisha Mazuri Academy<\/strong>, we focus specifically on sustainable technology and a respectful approach to the environment. This is not just about ecological responsibility, but also about education: the children and young people learn here in a very practical way what they can contribute to protecting nature and resources.   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-291fee9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"291fee9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Solar Power for Light and Water <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4433c33 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4433c33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In a region with many hours of sunshine, it makes sense to use the power of the sun. That is why we work with <strong>solar solutions<\/strong> as much as possible in the children&#8217;s center, the school, and the boarding house: <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0cdf62f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"0cdf62f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Solar Lamps, Solar-Powered Water Pump, and Water Filtration System<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-14ac0a1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"14ac0a1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Since 2017, a deep well with a water pump has ensured a daily, reliable water supply for the children&#8217;s center, school, boarding house, and the surrounding community. For drinking purposes, the water, which has a high fluoride content, is also filtered (solar-powered). Everyone can fill their water bottles at special drinking water basins, meaning no plastic bottles need to be bought and people drink more at the same time because it simply tastes good.<br\/>The large solar system for all electricity needs in the three projects is currently still a dream that will hopefully be realized soon. This is for reasons of sustainability, but also for security of supply. Especially during the rainy months, power outages are the rule and often last for hours.    <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4bbd378 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4bbd378\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Complete Water Cycle<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e611268 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e611268\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A true centerpiece of the sustainable concept since 2022 is the modern <strong>biodigester system<\/strong>. Here, all wastewater from the children&#8217;s center and the school\/boarding house \u2013 from toilets, showers, sinks, and kitchens \u2013 is treated in an eco-friendly way. The water is cleaned in a biological treatment process and then reused:  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7a28329 elementor-icon-list--layout-traditional elementor-list-item-link-full_width elementor-widget elementor-widget-icon-list\" data-id=\"7a28329\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"icon-list.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul class=\"elementor-icon-list-items\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li fa-circle\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">It flows back into the toilet flushing circuit \u2013 a closed water cycle that saves valuable fresh water.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-circle\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Excess water is used, for example, for washing cars or watering our green fence (a natural, thorny alternative to expensive walls and fences).<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div premises.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-icon\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<i aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fas fa-circle\"><\/i>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-icon-list-text\">Recycling used materials: A great example is old car tires, which get a second life as planters and beautify the grounds. <\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"elementor-icon-list-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span
