In mid-March, more than 400 interested students, parents, and teachers from the surrounding area flocked through the open doors of the Academy of Maisha Mazuri Secondary School \u2013 a complete success! The visitors took part in a diverse, colorful program that was perfectly organized by our dedicated team of teachers and students. <\/p>\n

Highlights included the exciting experiments in the chemistry lab, where children and teenagers could marvel at impressive color changes caused by various acid-base mixtures.<\/p>\n

The tour of the boarding school facilities was equally fascinating, impressing everyone with its spaciousness, cleanliness, and functionality \u2013 something not to be taken for granted in the Tala region.<\/p>\n

There was plenty to do and learn for everyone on-site: baking, sewing, digging garden beds, caring for rabbits, working on the computer, or understanding how the biogas and water treatment plants work. Sports activities weren’t neglected either \u2013 the program included soccer and volleyball. <\/p>\n

An unexpected highlight was the open discussion round, which was very well received by the participants. Students engaged in a spirited and passionate debate on the topic of “Day School versus Boarding School.” <\/p>\n

Principal Mr. Nicholas Lubisia is convinced that the Open House was much more than just successful advertising for the Academy. Not only did the visitors go home happy, but it was also a fulfilling day for our “organizing team” of students and teachers. Everyone learned a lot \u2013 and experienced how much can be achieved together with commitment and passion. <\/p>\n

The Secondary School will certainly continue to open its doors to interested parties in the future and confidently share its philosophy with the world.<\/p>\n
